HIBBING - Senior forward Kyler Black's goal with 1:08 left in regulation forced overtime and helped Duluth Marshall tie Hibbing/Chisholm 2-2 on Monday at the Hibbing Memorial Building.
Hibbing/Chisholm, ranked No. 2 in Class 1A, led 2-0 entering the third on second-period goals by Cole Swanson and Tate Swanson.
Davey Schachte started the comeback for the No. 20-1A Hilltoppers (14-2-2), scoring 9:06 into the third period. Duluth Marshall also tied No. 1-1A Hermantown 5-5 on Dec. 9.
Hibbing/Chisholm unloaded 46 shots on Duluth Marshall goaltender Wyatt Brown. The Bluejackets outshot the Hilltoppers 21-3 in a scoreless first period.
HASTINGS - Rylan Decker's power-play goal with 1:52 left in regulation allowed Lakeville North to forge a 5-5 overtime tie against Chanhassen in a continuation of a series of Hockey Day Minnesota games played outdoors this week at the Scheels Rink at United Heroes League.
A combined six power-play goals were scored, as the teams combined for 13 penalties, eight of them whistled against Chanhassen.
Logan Nelson and MaGuire Dewees each scored two goals for Lakeville North (6-9-2). Both of Nelson's goals came in the third period as the Panthers rallied from a 4-2 deficit.
Five players scored for No. 14-2A Chanhassen (9-5-2). Nolan Warner and Paxton Lee each had a goal and an assist.
SILVER BAY - Sophomore Dax Krech turned in a stellar goaltending performance, stopping all 43 shots he faced in North Shore's 2-0 win over Moose Lake at Rukavina Arena.
Joshua Maxwell and Isaiah Bertin scored second-period goals for the Storm (4-10-1), more than enough offense given Krech's outstanding play.
Krech has faced 40 or more shots four times this season. Monday's shutout was his second in 12 games.
Dylan Slama made 22 saves for Moose Lake (1-13-0).
NEW HOPE - Senior forward Tate Gladney scored both goals for Robbinsdale Armstrong/Cooper in a 2-1 victory over Rochester Century/John Marshall at New Hope Ice Arena.
The game was a rescheduled second round matchup from the Spring Lake Park/Coon Rapids Thanksgiving Tournament.
Gladney's two goals give him 16 on the season, third most among the Wings (8-10-0).
Jarek Solak scored the lone goal for Rochester Century/John Marshall (5-11-0).
WAHPETON, N.D. - Josh Hoffman had a goal and an assist as Breckenridge/Wahpeton won for the fourth time in five outings, beating Kittson County Central 3-1 at the Stern Sports Arena.
Hoffman scored what proved to be the game winner 2 minutes into the third period, putting the Blades (5-8-1) ahead 2-0. He also assisted on Easton Neppl's goal in the first.
Guilford Finney scored the lone goal for Kittson County Central (5-12-0), pulling the Bearcats to within 2-1 3:59 into the third.
