VICTORIA - Delano scored three goals in the final 4:41 of the third period to force overtime then got the winner from Connor Oja 2:43 into the extra period on Saturday in a 5-4 victory over Wright County Conference rival Holy Family at the Victoria Recreation Center.
Holy Family (6-9-0) took a 4-1 lead with 9:47 left in the third on a goal by Riley Doyle.
No. 3-1A Delano (11-4-1), which started sophomore junior varsity goaltender Axel Kestner because of injuries to its two varsity netminders, took over from there.
Daniel Halonen and Lance Halonen scored 12 second apart late in the third to start the rally. Dylan Nelson's goal that tied it at 4-4 came with 2:43 remaining.
Kestner, making his first varsity start, finished with 22 saves. Holy Family goaltender Danny Linn made 39 saves.
HERMANTOWN - Warroad scored three unanswered goals in the second period as it rallied to forge a 3-3 overtime tie with Hermantown in a matchup of top-four Class 1A teams at Northstar Ford Arena.
Mick Martalock scored twice for No. 1 Hermantown (12-1-3) in the first period and Beau Christy put the Hawks ahead 3-0 2:16 into the second.
Sam Hard, Rodrick Jackson and Gavin Anderson scored the second-period goals for No. 4-1A Warroad (11-4-1).
Warroad unloaded 46 shots on Hermantown goaltender Bryce Francisco, who made 43 saves. Finn Hanson stopped 31 of 34 shots for the Warriors.
MONTICELLO - St. Cloud Cathedral erupted for three third-period goals as the Crusaders defeated Monticello 3-1 in a meeting of top-ranked teams at the Moose Sherritt Ice Arena.
No. 8-1A Monticello led 1-0 after two periods after Ashton Stoll scored with 2:08 left in the period. Stoll, a senior forward, has 14 goals for the Moose (10-3-2).
No. 16-1A St. Cloud Cathedral tied it 97 seconds into the third on Nolan Bigaouette's power-play goal. Griffin Sturm scored the eventual game winner with 2:07 remaining in regulation.
Brandan White completed the scoring with 25 seconds to play for the Crusaders (7-8-0).
GOLDEN VALLEY - Eli Crosby's power-play goal with 1:04 left in regulation allowed Blake to tie Breck 2-2 in overtime at the Anderson Ice Arena.
No. 9-1A Blake scored first on Joe Erickson's goal with 6:15 left in the second. No. 11-1A Breck answered with a goal by Eli Milinkovich with 2:07 remaining in that period.
Breck (9-4-1) took the lead on Colten Crook's power-play goal 4:45 into the third, setting the stage for Crosby's game-tying effort.
Mac West made 36 saves for Breck; Jake Iwan had 30 saves for Blake (10-5-2).
LAKEVILLE - Tegan Gylling scored with 34 seconds left in overtime to give Farmington a 3-2 win over No. 17-2A Lakeville South at Hasse Arena.
Gylling, a junior forward, leads the Tigers (12-1-1) with 19 points (7 goals.12 assists).
Farmington scored twice in 47 seconds in the first period as AJ Vinar and Mason Rodgers scored. Lakeville South (6-6-1) cut the lead to 2-1 with Roan Zielie's goal with 2:07 left in the opening period.
The Cougars tied the game with 14 seconds left in regulation on Calvin O'Reilly's goal.
Chris Bade made 33 saves for Farmington.
BLOOMINGTON - Logan Smith scored twice and Tyler Jackson made 21 saves as Chanhassen defeated Bloomington Jefferson 3-1 at the Bloomington Ice Garden.
Smith, a senior forward, scored in both the first and second periods for No. 14-2A Chanhassen. He leads the Storm (8-5-1) with 14 goals. His goal with 3:39 left in the second was the game winner.
Brayden Thomas scored a second-period power-play goal for the Jaguars (11-3-1).
FERGUS FALLS - Sam Suja made 22 saves to lead Northern Lakes to a 3-1 win over Fergus Falls at the Fergus Falls Community Arena.
A junior, Suja surpassed the career 1,000-save mark while picking up his seventh win of the season. He has 364 saves this season for No. 14-1A Northern Lakes (7-5-1).
Holden Stenstrom also surpassed the 1,000 career-save mark. A senior, he made 32 saves for Fergus Falls (5-7-0).
Northern Lakes led 2-0 after two periods following goals by Derek Berg and Lucas Martin. The Otters' Tanner Donaghue scored to make it 2-1 but Josiah Reier completed the scoring with a goal with 3:57 left.
