Hockey Night: Mankato West slips past Anoka at Xcel Energy Center

Feb. 10: Scarlets win seventh-place game of holiday tournament game that was postponed because of stolen sticks

Mankato West 1, Anoka 0

ST. PAUL - Grady Hatlestad scored with 3:37 left in the second period and the goal held up as the game winner as Mankato West recorded a 1-0 win over Anoka at the Xcel Energy Center on Monday in one of nine games involving state teams.

The Scarlets (10-12-1) outshot Anoka, 29-16. Collin Rosenau made 28 saves for Anoka (6-18-1).

This game was initially scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 28 as the seventh-place game of the Heritage Holiday Classic in Duluth. Mankato West had its sticks stolen, and the game was postponed.

Delano 2, Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato 1

LITCHFIELD - Aaron Halonen and Markus Kangas scored for Delano as the Tigers beat Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato 2-1 at the Litchfield Civic Arena.

Halonen scored in the second and Kangas in the third as No. 10-1A Delano (12-10-1) swept the season series.

Keeran Niska scored with nine seconds left in regulation for Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato (8-15-0).

Irondale 3, Rochester Lourdes 2 OT

ROCHESTER - Grant Hartin scored with four seconds left in overtime to give Irondale the 3-2 win over Rochester Lourdes at the Rochester Recreation Center.

Irondale (9-13-1) led 1-0 after the first period on a goal by Noah Burkhart and 2-1 after two periods when Logan Forrest answered a goal by Lourdes' Vinny Harens.

Dom Troutman forced overtime by scoring with 5:59 remaining in regulation for the Eagles (12-9-1).

Henry Lockwood made 34 saves for the Knights, who have played in four overtime games this season, winning three of them and tying the other. It was the sixth OT game for Lourdes, which has gone 2-3-1.

Lake of the Woods 4, Kittson Central 3

HALLOCK - Brant Baron scored with 1:34 left in regulation to give Lake of the Woods a 4-3 win over Kittson County Central at the Hallock Ice Arena.

The Bears (4-17-0) took a 2-0 lead on goals by Dawson Canfield and Zack Thompson.

Kittson County Central (5-13-1) then scored three-straight goals in 62 seconds to take the lead. However, Eil Johnson tied the game for Lake of the Woods 26 seconds after the Bearcats took a 3-2 lead.

Canfield and Baron recorded a goal and an assist for the Lake of the Woods while Wyatt Samuelson did the same for KCC.

International Falls 9, Wadena-Deer Creek 3

WADENA - Cooper Crandall, Andrew Eide and Asher Keep each scored twice as International Falls defeated Wadena-Deerk Creek 9-3 at the Wadena Ice Arena.

Eide, Crandall, William Yerxa and Bauer Lindvall scored in the first period as the Broncos (15-8-0) opened a 4-0 lead after the first 17 minutes.

Wadena-Deer Creek (6-17-0) scored two the second period's first three goals but the Broncos closed the period with Keep, Eide and Crandall scoring in a three-minute stretch.
