THIEF RIVER FALLS - Isaac Baumgartner scored twice and Abram Hinson made 11 saves to earn the victory as Roseau beat Mariucci Conference rival Thief River Falls 5-2 at Ralph Engelstad Arena in one of eight games involving state teams on Monday night.
Baumgartner, a senior forward, scored both his goals in the second period as Roseau (11-10-1) built a 4-1 lead.
Abram Waage and Tyler George each had a goal and an assist for the Rams.
Jaxon Hams and Jackson Boyer scored for Thief River Falls (8-10-1).
SUPERIOR, Wis. - Jace Kampsula scored three goals and Gavin Lamphere stopped 12 shots to propel Hibbing/Chisholm past Superior, Wis., 7-0 at Wessman Arena.
Kampsula, a senior forward, scored two of his three goals in the first period as the No. 4-1A Bluejackets (13-9-0) surged to a 3-0 lead. He scored in the first minute of the second period to put Hibbing/Chisholm ahead 4-0. Kampsula's three goals give him a team-leading 18 on the season.
Hibbing/Chisholm outshot Superior (5-15-1) 40-12.
WINONA - Connor Pirsig scored what proved to be the winning goal in the final minute of the second period and Ledger Stadheim stopped 24 shots as Albert Lea beat Winona 3-1 at Bud King Ice Arena.
Bryant Johnson and Samuel Stay also scored for Albert Lea (13-7-1).
Kaden Grass scored to pull Winona (10-8-1) into a 1-1 tie in the second period. Damon Noland made 28 saves for the Winhawks.
SOUTH ST. PAUL - Max Bobrowski scored the final two goals and Shandley Corbin stopped all 28 shots he faced as Chisago Lakes beat section foe South St. Paul 6-0 at Doug Woog Arena.
The victory was the fifth straight for No. 15-1A Wildcats (13-6-2), who could be in line for the top seed in Section 4A.
Jacob Kletti had a goal and three assists for Chisago Lakes.
BAUDETTE - Sawyer Stromlund scored with 1:33 left in regulation as Lake of the Woods rallied to force overtime in an eventual 5-4 loss to Fort Frances, Ontario.
Eli Johnson and Brant Baron also scored in the third period for the Bears (3-16-0) as they rallied from a 2-1 deficit after two periods.
Collum McCormick scored 2:16 into overtime for Fort Frances.
