MENDOTA HEIGHTS - Jimmy Zavoral had a goal and an assist and Cody Niesen made 28 saves as St. Thomas Academy breezed past Mahtomedi 4-1 at St. Thomas Ice Arena.
Niesen made 15 of his saves in the third period, when Jake Hodd-Chlebeck scored the lone goal for No. 4-1A Mahtomedi (2-4-0).
Max Candon had two assists for No. 9-2A St. Thomas Academy (2-2-0), which scored twice in each of the first and second periods.
ROGERS - Nolen Geerdes' goal 2:30 into the final period helped propel Rogers past Andover 3-1 in a matchup of Northwest Suburban Conference powerhouses at the Rogers Ice Arena.
Geerdes broke a 1-1 tie with his goal, and Drew Krekelberg added an empty net goal for the No. 6-2A Royals (5-0-0) with 1 second left.
Jack Murphy's power-play goal in the second period lifted No. 11-2A Andover (2-3-0) into the tie after Keaton Weis scored earlier in the period for Rogers.
MINNEPOLIS - Gavin Sperling scored 3:57 into overtime to boost Elk River/Zimmerman to a 4-3 win over Totino-Grace at Brooklyn Park Ice Arena.
Tre Peck scored twice during a three-goal flurry for Totino-Grace (1-2-1) that put the Eagles ahead 3-2 early in the third.
Tristan Kreich scored with 21 seconds left in regulation as the Elks (1-1-1) rallied to force the extra session.
PLYMOUTH - Louie Wehman scored five goals, including three in the second period, as Providence Academy beat Hutchinson 9-1 at the Plymouth Ice Center.
Wehmann has 12 goals in six games, second most in the state behind the 13 scored by Shakopee's Cooper Simpson.
TWO HARBORS - Senior Braylen Hoff scored with 2:18 left in the third period as North Shore rallied to beat Hayward, Wis., 3-2 at Lake County Arena.
Jake Stadler scored with 2:13 left in the third period to pull North Shore (2-1-1) into a 2-2 tie. He also assisted on Hoff's winning goal.
LA CRESCENT - Noah Gillette scored three goals and added an assist while Michael Stojka had two goals and three assists as La Crescent-Hokah remained unbeaten with a 7-3 triumph over Toma/Sparta, Wis., at the La Crescent Community Arena.
Lancers scoring star Wyatt Farrell, on pace to break the state's all-time career goal-scoring record, had an unusually quiet night with just two assists.
La Crescent-Hokah improved to 4-0-0.
