Dec. 6: Cole Cheeseman's hat trick boosts Stars; Mason Moe scores three for Eden Prairie

Holy Angels 5, St. Louis Park 2

ST. LOUIS PARK - Sophomore Cole Cheeseman's hat trick helped boost Holy Angels past St. Louis Park 5-2 in a showdown of Section 6AA rivals at the St. Louis Park Rec Center in one of four games played Wednesday night.

Cheeseman and fellow sophomore Lincoln Ayers-Asad scored the only goals of the first period. Cheeseman added two more goals in the second as Holy Angels (3-1-0) took a 4-2 lead.

Stars sophomore defenseman Gabe Perron completed the scoring in the third period.

Griffin Krone scored both goals for St. Louis Park (1-4-0).

Eden Prairie 8, Blake 1

EDEN PRAIRIE - Sophomore Mason Moe scored three unanswered goals in the second period as Eden Prairie cruised to an 8-1 win over Blake at the Eden Prairie Community Center.

Moe scored his three goals in a span of less than 6 minutes, boosting Eden Prairie's lead to 6-0 with 2:59 left in the second period. Alex Hall added two goals and an assist for the No. 13-2A Eagles (1-1-0).

Joe Erickson scored the lone goal for Blake (0-4-0).

St. Paul Highland Park 3, South St. Paul 0

SOUTH ST. PAUL - Senior forward Oscar Andestic scored twice and Calum Axelson stopped 25 shots to lead St. Paul Highland Park to a 3-0 victory over South St. Paul at Doug Woog Arena.

Highland Park (3-2-0) scored all its goals in the second period. Sandwiched between Andestic's two goals was one on a power play from Peter Douma.

Wyatt Cheney made 16 saves for South St. Paul (1-3-1).

Princeton 9, Northern Edge 1

PRINCETON - Junior Connor Stokke scored four goals as Princeton cruised past Northern Edge 9-1 at the Princeton Ice Arena.

Stokke scored the first goal of his varsity career early in the first period then added two more goals in the second and another in the third. Lane Olson added two goals and an assist for the Tigers (2-1-0).

Zach Monson scored the lone goal for Northern Edge (0-3-1).
