ST. PAUL — No. 4 seed Andover scored three goals in the final 62 seconds in a 5-3 come-from-behind victory over unseeded Cretin-Derham Hall on Saturday in the state Class 2A third-place game at the Xcel Energy Center.
Brooks Cogswell scored with 1:02 remaining to tie it at 3-3 and Cayden Casey put the No. 5-2A Huskies (23-7-1) ahead 4-3 25 seconds later.
Landon Stringellow added an empty-net goal with 13 seconds left for 2022 state champion Andover.
Max Bennett’s goal put No. 13-2A Cretin-Derham Hall (19-11-1) ahead 3-2 with 8:02 left in the third. Nate Chorlton scored in the first period and Attila Lippai scored in the second for the Raiders.
Cooper Conway scored a second-period goal for Andover, and the Huskies’ top forward line of Casey, Conway and Gavyn Thoreson finished the season with a combined 265 points.
