HERMANTOWN - Code Kohanski and George Peterson each scored twice as Hermantown defeated Benilde-St. Margaret's on Friday in a matchup of top-10 ranked teams, albeit in different classes, at Hermantown Ice Arena.
No. 2-1A Hermantown (20-2-1) scored the game's first four goals, with three coming in the first. Peterson opened the scoring 1 minute into the second to put the Hawks ahead 4-0.
No. 6-2A Benilde-St. Margaret's (15-7-0) staged a mini-rally in the second, getting goals from Michael Risteau and Ryan Baird to cut Hermantown's lead to 4-2.
Kohanski scored his first goal with 4:59 left in the second to give the Hawks a 5-2 lead. Peterson added a power-play goal in the third and Kohanski completed the scoring with 4:58 to play.

HALLOCK - Wadena-Deer Creek scored the game's first two goals and never looked back in an 8-5 win over Kittson Central at Hallock Ice Arena.
Carson Davis and Jaeger Pettit scored in the first period's opening 3:26 for Wadena-Deer Creek (12-8-2).
Tyler Hennen led the comeback for Kittson Central (12-9-1). He scored a goal in the first and two in the second to bring the Bearcats within one, at 4-3, after two periods.
Wadena-Deer Creek scored four-straight goals to open the third, two by Cole Woods.
Hennen scored his fourth goal of the game and then assisted on Ethan Hanson's power-play goal as the Bearcats cut the lead to 8-5.
Hennen has 110 points this season and 309 in his career. He is two points shy of Dave Spehar (311, Duluth East) for fourth place on Minnesota's all-time scoring list.

ELY - Everett Gamst's power-play goal in the second period held up as the game-winner as Moose Lake defeated Ely 3-2 at Ely Ice Arena.
Moose Lake (5-17-0) led 2-1 after the first period after Gamst and Gavin Mlaskoch scored power-play goals that sandwiched a goal by Ely's Deegan Richards.
Gamst's second goal and eventual game-winner came with 7:04 left in the second.
Ely (8-16-0) cut the lead to 3-2 when Kole Macho scored with 1:35 to play.
Eli Gilbertson made 47 saves for Moose Lake.

HUTCHINSON - Hutchinson used three third-period goals to claim the Tendy Cup with a 6-3 victory over Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato at Burich Arena.
Dalsten Dusoski, Toren Miller and Karsen Niska scored in the final period for Hutchinson (10-12-0). Miller and Niska each finished with two goals.
After Hutchinson took a 2-0 lead, Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato (14-8-2) scored three times in the second to take the lead before Miller's first goal tied it 3-3 after two periods.

LAKEVILLE - Caleb Anderson and Parker Gast each recorded a goal and an assist and Kai Weigel made 23 saves to lead Moorhead to a 4-1 win over Lakeville North at Ames Arena.
No. 16-2A Moorhead (13-9-0) led 2-1 after the first period following goals by Anderson and Colby Krier.
Griffin Kranz scored a power-play goal for Lakeville North (8-13-0).
Joe Kortan and Gast scored in the third for the Spuds, who have won four-straight.
