MAPLEWOOD - Eighth-grader Riley Zupfer scored twice and had two assists for Hill-Murray, which scored five goals in the second period en route to an 8-4 triumph over Blake on Wednesday at Aldrich Arena.
Blake (12-10-1) led 3-1 on Oliver Duininck's goal 2:30 into the second period. Zupfer ignited the Hill-Murray scoring explosion with a goal just more than three minutes later.
Counting Zupfer's goal, his second of the game, the No. 17-2A Pioneers (11-10-1) outscored the Bears 7-1 through most of the second period and all of the the third to close out the victory.
Rowan Heithoff scored three goals for Blake, giving him a team-leading 28 on the season.
Ben Miller had a goal and three assists for Hill-Murray.

ST. PAUL - Charlie Eichens scored three goals and Ben Olson made 38 saves to lead St. Paul Highland Park past St. Paul Academy 5-3 at Drake Arena in a potential section playoff preview.
Eischens scored twice and Will Warner added a goal in the closing minutes of the second period as the Scots (10-10-2) took a 4-1 lead into the third.
Eischens scored in the third period to complete his hat trick. George Peltier and Casey Lynn scored in the third for St. Paul Academy (10-11-1).
Both teams reside in Section 4A and appear headed for an early-round clash, depending on how the section coaches vote in their seeding meeting next week.
