EDINA - Holy Family's Mason Grinnell pounced on a turnover in front of the Edina net and scored with 2:09 remaining to lift the Fire to a 3-2 upset victory on over Edina on Monday at Braemar Ice Arena.
After seven-plus scoreless periods to start the season, Edina (0-3-0) finally broke the seal with second-period goals from Lucas Cole and Mason West.
But Holy Family (2-0-0) rallied from a 2-1 deficit to start the third on a goal from Parker Osborn.
Bennett Reinhard finished with 29 saves for Holy Family. Edina's Robbie Clarkowski made 22 saves.

CROOKSTON - State scoring leader Tyler Hennen had a hat trick as did linemate Hayden Olsonawski as Kittson County Central beat Crookston 6-4 at the Crookston Sports Center.
Hennen’s shorthanded goal put the Bearcats ahead 5-1 early in the second period, but Crookston’s Jack Doda scored three unanswered goals spanning the second and third periods to pull the Pirates to within 5-4.
Olsonawski’s power-play goal 5:50 into the third completed the scoring.
Hennen, a senior, has nine goals and 20 points in three games for the 3-0-0 Bearcats. His third goal against the Pirates was the 100th of his career. Olsonawski has eight goals among his 17 points.
Doda, who had 26 goals last season, also added an assist in the season opener for Crookston.
