Roseau’s Max Strand, who ranks fourth in the state with 77 points, and Prior Lake’s Alex Bump, the Class 2A metro area scoring leader with 68 points, are among the 10 finalists for the Mr. Hockey award, as announced Friday by the Minnesota All Sports Alliance.
The Mr. Hockey award is presented annually to the state’s top senior skater. This year’s Mr. Hockey Award banquet, during which the winner will be announced, will be held at noon on Sunday, March 13 at the St. Paul RiverCentre.
Marko Belak of Cretin-Derham Hall, Austin Brauns of Andover and Ben Dardis of Mahtomedi were named the Frank Brimsek Award finalists. The award goes to the state’s top senior goaltender.
