BLAINE - Wyatt Peterson scored twice for Duluth East and Luke Steffen had a goal and an assist for Blaine as the teams skated to a 4-4 overtime tie on Friday in a New Year's Eve special at Fogerty Arena, one of three games played in the state.
Noah Teng scored 52 seconds into the first period for Duluth East (1-8-1) and the Greyhounds upped their lead to 3-0 with 5:29 remaining in the first period on goals by Grady Downs and Peterson.
Bryce Laager started the comeback for Blaine (4-3-3) with 1:38 left in the first. Dane Anderson, Andre Swanson and Steffen scored in the second period for the Bengals.
There was no scoring in the third. Blaine goaltender Ryan Wallin made 40 saves. Duluth East's Zander Ziemski stopped 29 shots.

WARROAD - Daimon Gardner scored four goals as No. 2-1A Warroad cruised to an 8-1 victory over International Falls in the third round of the Hockeytown Holiday Classic at The Gardens Arena.
The Warriors (11-0-0) won the three games in their home tournament by a combined score of 31-1.
Matt Hard and Jayson Shaugabay each added two goals in the Warriors' victory. Nate Dremmel scored the long goal for the Broncos (2-7-0).

WARROAD - Rudy Runyon and Luke Sawicky scored goals and Jack Betker made 15 saves for Osseo (1-6-1) in a 4-2 loss to Grafton/Park River (N.D.) (4-5-0) in a Hockeytown Holiday Classic third-round game at The Gardens Arena.
