Hockey Night: Holy Angels races past St. Louis Park

Dec. 20: Jack Bartfield, Noah Hermanson each score twice for Stars; Fairmont stuns Windom in OT

Holy Angels 4, St. Louis Park 1

ST. LOUIS PARK - Noah Hermanson and Jack Bartfield each scored twice on Monday as Holy Angels (6-1-0) scored four unanswered goals to cruise past St. Louis Park (2-3-0) and standout goaltender Josh Middleton 4-1 at the St. Louis Park Rec Center.

St. Louis Park's Ben Farley opened the scoring 3:10 into the second period. Then Hermanson and Bartfield took over with power play goals late in the period.

Bartfield, a junior defenseman, scored on another power play with 4:29 remaining to make it 3-1 and Hermanson, a senior forward, scored into an empty net with 2:47 left.

Middleton finished with 31 saves while the Stars' Bryce Hess made 17 stops. Holy Angels has allowed just 10 goals in its seven games

Fairmont 6, Windom 5 (OT)

WINDOM - Nate Rakness scored 58 seconds into overtime to lift Fairmont (2-5-0) to a surprising 6-5 victory over Windom (4-4-0) in a Big South Conference matchup at the Windom Arena.

Rakness' goal ended a back-and-forth affair that saw Fairmont score five unanswered goals through parts of the first and second periods, only to see Windom rally with four unanswered goals in the second and third periods. 

Windom's Sonny Heil completed his hat trick with 45 seconds remaining to force the overtime.

Grafton/Park River (N.D.) 4, Crookston 2

GRAFTON, N.D. - Ashton Shockman scored a goal late in the third period to spark Crookston (0-6-1) and pull the Pirates within two goals, but it wasn't enough as Grafton/Park River (2-5-0) held on for a 4-2 triumph at the Centennial Center.

Jack Doda also scored for Crookston, which was outshot 48-26.
