Three Stars

1. A.J. Francisco, Hermantown
The sophomore put his Hawks teammates on his shoulders and carried them for much of the game, scoring three goals in a breakout performance for the next — or is it current? — bigtime Hawks star.

2. River Freeman, Hermantown
His overtime goal, a no-doubter of a one-timer, clinched yet another thrilling showdown against Mahtomedi in what has become one of the state’s great small-school rivalries.

3. Sam Harris, Mahtomedi
The junior defenseman, not known for his scoring, notched a two goals, with one coming in the closing minutes as the Zephyrs forced the extra period. Harris has scored five of his eight goals in the Zephyrs' last three games.
