1. Casey Vandertop, Edina
The sophomore who was helping Edina win a state Bantam AA championship last season once again excelled on a big stage, this time scoring three goals in a span of 8:06 in the second period as the Hornets took control.
2. Bobby Cowan, Edina
Cowan controlled the face-off circle by winning 17 of 21 draws. He also unloaded an astounding 14 shots — although just three were on goal. He notched an assist on Freddie Schneider’s first-period goal.
3. Daniel Babcock, Elk River
The senior forward’s highlight-reel goal late in the second period was one of the most spectacular of the tourney so far.
