Three Stars

1. John Hirschfeld, St. Cloud Cathedral
The do-everything junior forward opened the scoring, added three assists and was wizard in the face-off circle, winning all but six of his 25 draws.

2. Joey Gillespie, St. Cloud Cathedral
His second-period power-play goal was a thing of beauty, and the rangy forward added another goal in the third to put the game out of reach.

3. Griffin Sturm, St. Cloud Cathedral
Best sophomore in the state? Sturm is one of them, for sure. The defenseman had three assists, two on power plays, and unloaded seven shots, five of them on goal.
