Wayzata vs. Cretin-Derham Hall

2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28
The Premiere Holiday Classic in the Grove, Second Round | Maple Grove Community Center, Maple Grove

Cretin-Derham Hall knocked off one of the state’s last remaining unbeatens in St. Thomas Academy in its most recent outing, a 4-2 triumph on Dec. 22. The Raiders can tattoo another crossed out zero on their collective bicep on Wednesday at a tournament in Maple Grove with a second-round victory over the No. 2-2A Trojans (6-0-1). They can do that if Wayzata can get past first-round opponent Blake on Tuesday.

Senior Jake Fisher, a leading Mr. Hockey candidate, leads the No. 8-2A (7-2-0) Raiders with nine goals and 10 assists. Fab freshmen Max Anderson and Nate Chorlton each have five goals. Junior goaltender Leo Miller has a goals-against average of 2.46 and 7-1-0 record.

Wayzata senior goaltender Will Ingemann ranks second in the state with a .951 save percentage. Jibber Kuhl is the Trojans’ top goal scorer with six.
