CRETIN-DERHAM Hall vs. Benilde-St. Margaret's

7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 15
St. Louis Park Rec Center, St. Louis Park

No. 14-2A Cretin-Derham Hall has won three straight after an 0-2 start, and the Raiders’ offense is just getting revved up thanks to the work of scoring leaders Attila Lippai (8 points) and Jake Fisher (7 points). Both Lippai (University of St. Thomas) and Fisher (Northern Michigan) are Division I commits who were standouts in the Upper Midwest High School Elite League this fall. Keep an eye on freshman Nate Chorlton, who has four goals among his five points.

First team to seven goals wins? No. 8-2A Benilde-St. Margaret’s (1-2-0) also has a couple of high-end, high-speed future Division I forwards in Drew Stewart (Notre Dame) and Michael Risteau (Western Michigan). Stewart has three points and Risteau two for the Red Knights, who feature one of the state’s top junior goaltenders in Mason McElroy. Senior Wes Berg, a 30-goal scorer last season for Gentry Academy, has yet to get his first goal as a Red Knight.

Which team will win?
Legacy pick: Benilde-St. Margaret's
